Sober Supportive Housing: Portland Village
In Cooperation with RS Eden
After the success of Alliance Apartments, AHI, in cooperation with RS Eden developed Portland Village a 26 unit sober and supportive permanent apartment complex for formerly homeless families in need of support to maintain their sobriety. The project is located at 1829 Portland Avenue South next to the former AHI and Alliance of the Streets offices which have been renovated to serve as a community center for the project.
The 26 families, the majority of whom are head of the houshold single women of color with 3 or more children, live in a drug and alcohol free environment with support services provided by RS Eden.
